Backend development
I specialise in backend development: PHP and MySQL / MariaDB are my weapons of choice. I keep up with the language and its best practices, and I work daily with Composer, Symfony components and static analysis tools.
What I care about in a project: data modelling, performance, code quality and long-term maintainability — a site I deliver is often one I maintain for years.
Drupal
I started with Drupal in 2009. This site was born on Drupal 6, then migrated to 7, 8, 9, 10 and recently 11 — so I practise version upgrades as much as initial development.
I have been using Drupal daily since 2011 and know its ecosystem well, from contributed module development to running sites in production.
Modules and concepts I use regularly: Views, Paragraphs, Layout Builder, Entity API, Form API, Search API & Solr, Migrate API, Domains, JSON:API, Drush, Single Directory Components, Recipes…
I also contribute to the community: board member of the Drupal France et francophonie association from 2017 to 2020, co-organiser of DrupalCamp Lannion in 2017 and of the Paris one in 2019, and I publish my modules on drupal.org.
Industrialization & continuous integration
I don’t just deliver code: I set up the pipeline that lets it ship with peace of mind.
- Reproducible development environments with Docker and DDEV
- GitLab CI pipelines: tests, quality checks, automated deployments
- Dependency and update management with Composer
- Site factory to share the core, tooling and deployments across projects
- Long-term maintenance and support: core and module updates, monitoring, emergency fixes
Headless sites & integrations
A good share of my work is about making Drupal talk to the outside world: headless Drupal back office feeding a front-end application, exposing and consuming APIs, syncing with business services (Apidae Tourisme, Dendreo, Kinow…), delegated authentication.
CMS and frameworks
Drupal is my specialty, but I also work with other tools when the context calls for it: Symfony, WordPress, and in the past Joomla, CMS Made Simple, PrestaShop or Spip.
Server administration & infrastructure
I use GNU/Linux on my workstation and administer several servers running different distributions.
- Advanced Nginx and Apache2 configuration, reverse proxy and certificates
- MySQL / MariaDB tuning
- Containerisation with Docker
- Installing and running self-hosted business applications (GitLab, Nextcloud, monitoring…)
- Automated and verified backups
- Monitoring, alerting and emergency troubleshooting
Trainings and workshops
Want to level up, you or your team? I offer tailor-made trainings and workshops:
- Drupal 10 / 11 for developers (adapted programme: beginner or advanced, front or back)
- Drupal 10 / 11 for site builders and project managers
- Drupal version upgrades and migrations
- Docker and DDEV day to day
- Git and GitLab (workflow, code review)
- Automated deployment with GitLab CI
- Administering a GNU/Linux server

Best practices
Git every day to version my code, with code review and feature branches.
I like to automate everything that can be: continuous integration, disposable environments, home-made scripts and tooling. Time saved there is time given back to the project.
Always keeping watch, I follow many news feeds from France and elsewhere — and I share what I find on this site.
Frontend development
I also regularly do front-end development with the HTML + CSS + JavaScript trio, relying on Twig, Sass and Drupal’s Single Directory Components.
I care about accessibility, performance and keeping the pages I produce lean.
